Description
The 2024 Porsche Panamera 4S E-Hybrid represented a significant leap in electrified performance, primarily driven by a 45% increase in battery capacity compared to its predecessor. At the core of the 4S E-Hybrid’s efficiency is its 25.9 kWh high-voltage battery (gross capacity). Real-world testing has shown that it can reliably exceed 65 kilometres on pure electric power, making it a viable zero-emission daily executive commuter vehicle for many owners. In "E-Power" mode, the car can reach speeds of up to 140 km/h without engaging the petrol engine. An upgraded 11 kW on-board AC charger is standard equipment, reducing a full charge to approximately 2 hours and 39 minutes at a compatible station. The new electric motor can recuperate up to 88 kW of energy during deceleration to replenish the battery while driving. There are four E-Hybrid-specific modes that allow drivers to prioritise electric range based on their needs: E-Power: The default start mode; runs purely on electricity as long as charge is sufficient. Hybrid Auto: Uses navigation data to optimise energy use, maximising electric driving in city traffic. E-Hold: Preserves the current state of charge for later use (e.g., entering a zero-emission urban zone). E-Charge: Uses the V6 engine to recharge the battery to 80% while driving above 55 km/h. The 4S E-Hybrid offers significant acceleration and speed capabilities: 0–100 km/h: 3.7 seconds (with standard Sport Chrono Package). Top Speed: 290 km/h. To enhance comfort and and agility the 2024 model features advanced two chamber air suspension technology with two-valve dampers. Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) provides a wider range between comfort and sportiness. The Porsche Traction Management (PTM) ensures optimal traction and stability across various conditions. Amongst the many optional features, our MY25 example is also equipped with the optional rear-axle steering system to improve manoeuvrability at low speeds and stability at high speeds.
